Will Jehovah’s Witnesses Only Be Saved?!

It came suddenly a knock on the door, but you’re not expecting anyone who can this be? As you open the door you’re confronted with a well dressed individual, a Jehovah Witnesses. Immediately the Jehovah Witnesses goes into their well trained presentation, depending on the message that particular day they will ask leading questions.

All in the attempts to get you to agree to a “home bible study”. This is one of the main ways JW’s lure in unsuspecting people into the Watchtower cult. They will speak of subjects which are appealing to the flesh. What they won’t tell you upfront is that Jehovah Witnesses believe you must be part of the organisation in order to be saved.

If you visit the FAQ page on their website there’s an article called “Do Jehovah’s Witnesses Feel That They Are the Only People Who Will Be Saved?” if you ask “must I be a Jehovah Witness in order to be saved?” they will tell you no, as the following quote says:

No. Many millions who lived in centuries past and who weren’t Jehovah’s Witnesses will have an opportunity for salvation. The Bible explains that in God’s promised new world, “there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.” (Acts 24:15) Additionally, many now living may yet begin to serve God, and they too will gain salvation. In any case, it’s not our job to judge who will or won’t be saved. That assignment rests squarely in Jesus’ hands.—John 5:22, 27.

When you dig deeper into the beliefs of the Watchtower you’ll find other contradictory statements such as this one from an article called “Remaining Organized for Survival Into the Millennium”

Only Jehovah’s Witnesses, those of the anointed remnant and the “great crowd,” as a united organization under the protection of the Supreme Organizer, have any Scriptural hope of surviving the impending end of this doomed system dominated by Satan the Devil.”

Watchtower 1989 Sep 1 p.19

Or this quote under the title “Are You Prepared for Survival?”:

“During the final period of the ancient world that perished in the Flood, Noah was a faithful preacher of righteousness. (2 Peter 2:5) In these last days of the present system of things, Jehovah’s people are making known Gods righteous standards and are declaring good news about the possibility of surviving into the new world. (2 Peter 3:9-13) Just as Noah and his God-fearing family were preserved in the ark, survival of individuals today depends on their faith and their loyal association with the earthly part of Jehovah’s universal organization.”

Watchtower 2006 May 15 p.22

It’s pretty clear that the Watchtower is deceptive in what they teach, on JW.ORG they will paint the organisation one way claiming “No. Many millions who lived in centuries past and who weren’t Jehovah’s Witnesses will have an opportunity for salvation.” but truly say “survival of individuals today depends on their faith and their loyal association with the earthly part of Jehovah’s universal organization.”

There’s double talk when speaking to Jehovah Witnesses and any group which claims exclusivity on salvation is a cult. Salvation is only found in Jesus Christ alone. Not in any organisation or group, the Lord Jesus said:

John 11:25-26 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
