Sun Sets In A Spring Of Water?

Any sensible honest person who has taken time to survey the world we live in can logically see the sun setting, but would they claim it sets in a pound or spring of water? Depending on where you’re located and have watched the sun set we can say it seems to set in an ocean, or behind mountains, even behind buildings etc. Muslims are blinded by the god of this world.

In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

2 Corinthians 4:4 KJV[1]

In Islam, we have teachings that the sun literally sets in a spring of warm water. This of course is completely wrong, are Muslims following a god who doesn’t know how a sunset works?

The Qur’an speaks about Dhu’l-Qarneyn otherwise known as Alexander the Great, stating he reached the place where the sun sets. The words “Until, when he reached” means he actually reached where the sun sets. Also, note there are people there as well “and he found near it a people” what’s the “it” here in this verse? It’s the sun!

[18:86]

Ibn ‘Abbas the cousin of Muhammad in his Tafsir says:

(Till, when he reached the setting place of the sun) where the sun sets, (he found it setting in a muddy spring) a blackened, muddy and stinking spring; it is also said that this means: a hot spring, (and found a people thereabout) these people were disbelievers: (We said: O Dhu’l-Qarnayn!) We inspired him (Either punish) either kill them until they accept to believe that there is no deity except Allah (or show them kindness) or you pardon them and let them be.

Tafsir Ibn ‘Abbas [18:86]

Obviously, Allah cannot be god and neither can the Qur’an be a book from god, as we know for a fact the sun doesn’t go into a muddy, stinking spring. The Qur’an is unscientific and has proven to be a false book.

Even their Hadith shows that Muhammad is a crazy man, also note how Shirk is committed. Muhammad was riding on a donkey and saw the sun setting, he asked his companion “Do you know where this sets?” He comes the Shirk! the reply was “Allah and his Apostle know best.”

Sunan Abi Dawud 4002 (Grade: Sahih in chain (Al-Albani))

Islam teaches a mere man called Muhammad had equal knowledge with Allah the god of Islam. This is why Muslim worship a man called Muhammad (the praised one) even his name is proof of Shirk. Only God is to be praised not a mere man who goes to the toilet (as Muslims argue) if that’s their standard.

Conclusion

The Qur’an cannot be a book from God as it’s scientifically incorrect, the sun doesn’t set in a muddy pool of water. There is no place in which you can reach the setting place of the sun. Muhammad even contradicted himself saying it sets in a pool of water, but also it sets under the throne of Allah.[2] Which is it does it set in water or under Allah’s throne?

This is why we tell Muslims to reject Muhammad and the false religion of Islam. A person must completely abandon all logic and thought to the point of being brain-dead in order to believe this nonsense.

We call Muslims to the true and Living God who has given us the true Word of God Jesus Christ, He created all things and is the source of all life.[3]

[1] Bible quotations in this article are from the KJV unless otherwise noted.

[2] It was narrated that Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said to Abu Dharr when the sun set: “Do you know where it goes?” I said: Allah and His Messenger know best. He said: “It goes and prostrates beneath the Throne, then it asks for permission (to rise) and permission is given to it. Soon it will prostrate, but it will not be accepted from it, and it will ask for permission (to rise) but permission will not be given to it; it will be said to it: “Go back to where you came from.’ So it will rise from its place of setting, and that is what Allah, may He be glorified, refers to in the verse (interpretation of the meaning): “And the sun runs on its fixed course for a term (appointed). That is the Decree of the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing” [Yaa-Seen 36:38].

[3] 1 Corinthians 8:4-6 As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol [is] nothing in the world, and that [there is] none other God but one. For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) But to us [there is but] one God, the Father, of whom [are] all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom [are] all things, and we by him.
