Worship Our Maker

And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.Galatians 4:6.

I’m meditating on this right now. One day a little while ago, I was weary and exhausted. So I began listening to worship music.

I needed my love and I needed to rest and be filled by Him. So I put on worship music and just got lost in the beautiful worshipful words to Jesus. And I could physically feel my heart burn as I was saturated in the truth of His beauty and grace as I worshiped Him. I could feel His love just be poured in me and my love for Him and desire for Him just fill me to overflowing. In that moment, nothing else mattered. In that moment, everything about Him and His love was intensified and I could have just melted; only He mattered, and my eyes were fixated on Him. The world washed away, and only He was present.

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” John 4:24

This is what it is to worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. He poured His love into us by His Spirit, and our response is deep heart worship and yearning for Him, and a personal intimate affectionate relationship where we cry out, “Abba, Father!”.

And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.” Romans 5:5

This deep heart burning worship of our Maker is a testimony that we’re His sons and daughters and have eternal life inside of us. We have eternal life inside of us because we love, we cry out to, and we worship e t e r n a l life Himself.

His Strength is Made Perfect in Our Weakness

img_3916

The other day I was having a rough morning and it seemed like my weakness and sin shined forth and I was acting in the flesh. Tired and drained from a great deal of fiery arrows coming my way, I had no strength.

Frustrated, I began walking outside in the winter rain. I felt horrible. Even if nobody else noticed my sinful shortcomings, I did, because it was all in my heart. Not only was I overcome by my weakness, but I knew God knew it even more than myself.

Shuddering, with a sorrowful and repentant heart I sighed a tearful groan and weakly whispered, “I’m sorry…I wish I was better, I don’t deserve you’re love, I’m not good enough.”

While on the bus, wet and cold, I began listening to worship music accompanied by reading continuous bible passages. One scripture stood out to me and it was as if this passage covered me like a soft warm blanket. I wasn’t cold any longer.

1 Corinthians 12:9-10
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

This simple passage spoke to me more than an hour long sermon would.

His grace. His strength.

He told me to come, find rest for my soul. I’ll never be good enough, but He is. I’ll never be strong enough, but He is. I’ll never be able to hold myself up, but He carries me. I’ll never be able to be sinless, but He was without sin. I’ll never be perfect, but He wants me to rest in HIS perfection.

And He wants you to rest in Him too. Come to Jesus, and find rest. Don’t rely on yourself, rely on Him. His grace is enough to cover every ounce of your weakness, sin and flesh.

Matthew 11:28-29
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

Fall into the arms of the only One who can hold you up. The One whose grace is enough.♥️

The Gospel of God

You are loved. You are loved more than you can ever understand, by the God who made you. No matter what you have been through, no matter what you have done, you can turn to Jesus Christ and be forgiven, cleansed, and experience eternal life. God can give you healing from all of your hurts, your mistakes, and your past. He can give you true freedom, true love, and true forgiveness. We are only made whole by Jesus Christ. He knows everything you have done, all your secrets, your sins, and wants you to bring it all to Him in faith and surrender to Him as Lord. All you have to do is cry out to God and recognize you have sinned against Him (we all have) and that you can’t save yourself. Only Jesus can save us. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. He is not one of many truths, He is the only truth. He is the only way to salvation, and He is the only one who can give you life by being born again. You can be given salvation if you put your trust in Him. Accept that Jesus is God who came in the flesh to be that perfect sacrifice for our sins, and we deserve hell because we’re imperfect and sin and God is holy and just – but Jesus can save you. All you have to do is genuinely reach out to Him and ask Him to forgive you and be your God and Saviour. Trust in Him. You can experience a healing, wholeness, and a love that nothing and nobody else will ever give you! No matter what circumstance you face, the Lord Jesus can give you peace that is beyond this world. You can be made right with God and be given eternal life. Just ask Him!♥

John 6:35 (bread)

IMG_6115

John 6:35 “And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.”

Just wanted to share the progress on the “bread of Life” illustration I’ve been working on. Thoughts: we’re to grow spiritually in the Lord as He is not only our sustainer He also provides us with food. The Lord Jesus said later in that same chapter in John’s Gospel.

John 6:51 “I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.”

Let us continue to feed on that bread which is the word of God, in the OT God provided for the children of Israel manna from heaven giving them something to eat in the wilderness. As a spiritual truth, God feeds us through His precious word the Bible.

Matthew 4:4 “But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”

John 6:35 (ink)

Early ink progress

John 6:35 “And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.”

John The Apostle, brother of James the “Greater” heard the announcement of John the Baptist saying: “Behold the Lamb of God,” and forthwith, on the invitation of Jesus, became a disciple and ranked among his followers (John 1:36,37). He became one of the innermost circle (Mark 5:37; Matthew 17:1; 26:37; Mark 13:3). He was the disciple whom Jesus loved.

Sacrificial Love

img_3925

I once was given a privilege by the Lord Jesus to witness a man of God acting in pure Christlike sacrificial love. And it changed me. This image will forever be seared in my heart.

I was at a Christian evangelism conference and every morning breakfast was provided by the church. It was pancakes. People were lingering around, concerned about getting their breakfast, getting their fill, their satisfaction, their need met.

The speaker mentioned that whatever was in the serving plate, that’s all we had. Everyone still got their fill, not showing any concern for others getting enough. One man piled up his plate with about 10 pancakes oozing with syrup.

Then, I notice something. A man on the other side of the breakfast table, quietly grabbing his pancakes. Except, he grabbed the burnt one at the bottom, taking the least desired pancake while the rest piled up their plates and had their fill.

My eyes couldn’t believe it. I was watching Christ through this man and it was glorious. It was like watching the pages of scripture unfold before me. It was so pure, so holy, so beautiful, so lovely, sacrificial.

Nobody noticed him, nobody appreciated that they were being thought of by him as more important than himself. And he didn’t care if not a single person noticed, because he was doing it for his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. But I noticed, and it will forever be with me.

God gave me a wonderful gift that day.

This is true Christlike godly Christian love. Sacrifice. Just as Christ sacrificed His life for us, we as His children are to walk in sacrificial love, letting our lives and bodies be a sacrifice unto God. Just as Christ was a servant and washed His disciples feet, are we to be servants and wash each others feet. We are to walk in humility, making others more important than ourselves. That is true godly love.

If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.” John‬ ‭13:14-15‬

I am going to marry this man one day. ❤

The Christian Calling

img_3959-1

I was reading the book of John recently, and particularly John 10:15 really struck me.
“As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.”

He laid His life down for us. He sacrificed His precious, perfect life for us. He was a servant for us. Reading this passage really moved my heart because as His children, we’re to follow His example and be a servant. No matter how much it hurts or how tired we get. It’s not about me, or my desires, or my flesh, or my “needs”. It’s about serving others and fulfilling my calling. It’s about putting others first, above me. It’s about walking in humility among those I am serving and among this world. It’s about making myself low so I can lift others up. It’s about me decreasing and Him increasing in me. This isn’t my life, it’s His Life in me. I’m not called to live for myself, I’m called to live for Him. He was my example. He sacrificed His life for me and I’m to do the same for others.

“Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.” Philippians 2:4

“He must increase, but I must decrease.” John 3:30

How do we walk in this high calling? I’ll discuss this in my next post. I love all of you in the Lord Jesus I and pray for those who are following this blog!🙏🏻

Humility Like Jesus

img_3984

How do we walk in selfless love and sacrifice for others?

It comes from a foundation of loving God and being loved by Him. Knowing God and being known by Him. Made whole and complete in God and understanding your true worth in Him.

When we understand our worth in Him, we’re able to let go of trying to achieve what this world measures as worthy. We’re able to freely offer ourselves up and make ourselves less important than others and walk in humility because we are saved by Jesus, and have been given so much more than this world has to offer.

Jesus knew His worth and did not find it a loss to walk as a servant and get down to wash the feet of man or be abused at the hand of sinners and evil men. He was looking toward the reward of future glory and saving His people for all eternity. (John 13:3-5).

{Philippians 2:3-9}
Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:”

We’re to walk in the steps of Jesus.

We recognize that this world is extremely temporal and there is nothing in it for us as His saints. We understand that our purpose is to love with the love of Christ and be lights with the true light of Christ.

When we’re full of His love, His forgiveness and have experienced His mercy and kindness, we’re able to walk in a way that is completely abandoned to Him. We become free slaves to God and our eyes are on Him so much so that gain for ourselves no longer carries the weight in our hearts and lives that it once did.

We don’t have to be on top in this world because we have everything in Him. We don’t have to constantly look out for our own needs because we have a God who cares for us. So we can then care for others. We’ve been crucified with Christ. It is no longer we who live, but Christ who lives in us. {Galatians 2:20}

Because we’re secure in Him, we don’t need to act in ways that will make us feel secure in this world which leads to selfish ambition and elevating ourselves above others. This kind of love humility and selfless poured from us can only be given to others if we experience the endless love of God Himself.

When we’ve been saved, we see with spiritual eyes and act in spiritual ways – ways that are foreign to this world but are the epitome of who God is.

And of course, there’s sanctification. We’re constantly being molded, shaped, and refined to act in selfless love. He teaches us, He trains us, He grows us, He prepares us, and He is with us all along the way during our time on earth.

In short, abide in Him. Only then can a person give themselves as servants in this world because we’ve received all riches, love, and honour in Christ.

{Ephesians 4:2-3}
I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;”

.”

He Counts the Stars

img_3941

Oh, what a majestic God He is. Full of splendour and majesty. Worthy of all honour and praise, and devotion and obedience and loyalty and faith and all our love.✨

…And, can you even grasp the fact that He loves us with a great and mighty, yet intimate and tender, and beautifully forgiving, compassionate and jealous, faithful never ending everlasting love???💕

Oh He’s so amazing. He deserves more than we could ever give Him.✨

This God, by the word of His mouth created the stars and holds them in His hands. He also holds your heart.💕

How marvelous! how wonderful!
And my song shall ever be
How marvelous! how wonderful!
Is my Savior’s love for me!🎵

{Psalm 8:3}
When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

Never stop seeking this glorious King of the Heavens and Earth. Never stop chasing Him. He’s more worthy than anything else in this existence. Nothing compares. He’s incomparable…

And, praise Jesus, He’s knowable.✨🙌🏼💗😭

John 6:35

IMG_6101

John 6:35 “And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.”

Early illustration of John 6:35 where the Lord Jesus says “I am the bread of Life”. He sure is the living bread as a saved sinner who can personally testify of the saving power of God, I’m sure of having a home in heaven because I placed my faith in the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ. I hope someday you will as well and be sure of everlasting life.

You must have life in yourself by partaking of the Prince of Life the Lord Jesus Christ Himself, He is Life everlasting. Are you partaking of that life, do you want life in you?

The life believers have in Him is eternal, incorruptible, and will never be defiled by sin; fitting us for eternal “fellowship with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ” (1 John 1:3).

Christ’s Blood – The Highest Price

img_4012

The most worthy God paid the highest price for our sin-stained soul.

I walk in complete wide-eyed wonder of this God who loves this much. Of this God who is intimately acquainted with me and is so involved in every little thing I do and think and feel. Who cares for me tenderly and protects me passionately. This God who I can’t even begin to comprehend His majesty, that He loves so much that He would experience the most painful execution in human history to save us, have us, keep us, make us His.

I’m in utter awe that I get to know Him. Not just know Him, but  k n o w  Him. That He loves us humans with a great love. The greatest love. It’s beyond our mind’s ability to fully grasp. It’s just too great.

He’s so majestic, He’s so wonderful.

All I can do is humbly bow low in complete submission, and love Him until I die.

It’s what I want. He’s what I desire.

I can’t believe He’s mine.

There’s not a thing in this world I would choose over Him. I’m His possession.

Surrender to Jesus, and experience the most incredible love, fulfillment, joy, purpose, pleasure, and satisfaction that you can’t even begin to imagine. He is  e v e r y t h i n g.

Christian in a postmodern world

postmodern

John 18:38 “Pilate saith unto him, What is truth?…”

POSTMODERNISM’S BEGINNINGS
Ever hear someone say “there’s no right or wrong answers” or “all truth is valid”? Yes. Welcome to the postmodern world where there is no truth. Where did first postmodernism originate?

Postmodernism philosophy first originated primarily in France during the mid-20th century, it was largely influenced by French philosophers such as Jean Baudrillard, Jean-François Lyotard and Jacques Derrida. In the forefront of these men where also Søren Kierkegaard and Friedrich Nietzsche from Germany. These philosophers denied the existence of an objective reality, and objective moral values. An individuals idea of what’s good is another’s idea of evil are to be equally valid from the viewpoint of a postmodernist.

Christian in a postmodern world

Friedrich Nietzsche

THERE ARE NO ABSOLUTES!
Is that statement true?! The problem with a postmodernist worldview is they don’t believe in absolutes. Every statement the postmodernist makes is self-refuting because they are declaring an absolute statement.
The idea of what’s “true” is left to the individual, they determine what’s truth, good or evil, right or wrong. If a postmodernist had their wallet stolen they would agree it would be wrong for another individual to take their wallet. But by what authority can they claim this?
Another individual can argue and say that stealing a person’s wallet is justified, who would be right? In a world of postmodernism, everyone is reduced to preferences because no absolutes exist. Even Hitler would be justified by the atrocities he committed.

Christians believe in a higher authority which is God Almighty. God is the source of our morals and truth, He determines what’s good or evil. Therefore we have a point of reference in which all right’s or wrong’s can be justified.

Let’s look at other branches which shoot forth from a postmodern worldview.

HUMANISM
Is defined as the view in which an individual focuses on human value thoughts and actions, a belief in human effort. The humanist slogan is “good without a God”. Humans are considered “good” devoid of God. The word of God says otherwise about man being “good”.

The book of Romans says that none are righteous (Romans 3:10), additionally, in the gospels, the Lord Jesus says only God is good (Matthew 19:17, Mark 10:18, Luke 18:19). The American Humanist Association do greatly err in thinking themselves to be a god in their own eyes.

They elevate man as being the measure of all things. It’s agnostic or atheistic in origin with roots in naturalism. Here are 3 beliefs from the Humanist Manifesto directly quoted from their website.

1st: Religious humanists regard the universe as self-existing and not created.

2nd: Humanism believes that man is a part of nature and that he has emerged as a result of a continuous process.

3rd: Holding an organic view of life, humanists find that the traditional dualism of mind and body must be rejected.

I had to stop, I couldn’t continue reading such rubbish it’s grieving seeing people placing trust in themselves instead of the God who created, loves them and wants them to be reconciled to Himself. They worship the creation instead of the creator, creation is a testimony of the existence of God (Romans 1:20).

One humanist motto is “I think therefore I am”, basically because I think therefore I exist. If this is true then what happens when you don’t think do you cease to exist? For instance, someone involved in an accident who’s become a vegetable and is bedridden do they exist? Or if an individual is more of a thinker than another, does the thinker have more of an existence than the other? We can see how humanism quickly starts to fall apart.

Proverbs 1:29 “For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD: They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof. Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices. For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them. But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.”

NATURALISM
Is the worldview that “nature is all” it man’s attempt in placing nature in the position of being god while at the same time denying the true living God who created all things (Colossians 1:16). And because they worship nature they’ve created a false god for themselves, the same way the humanist looks at man as a false god. God calls this idolatry, the nation of Israel has also committed this sin when they were being led through the wilderness by Moses, they made a golden calf to worship (Exodus 32:4).

Psalms 135:15 “The idols of the heathen [are] silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.”

Naturalism also shares beliefs in paganism, native American Indians also worshipped nature and even giving themselves names such as Black Hawk, Crazy Horse or Cornplanter, and worshipping multiple gods like Ababinili (Chickasaw Tribe), Maheo (Cheyenne Tribe) and White Buffalo Woman (Sioux goddess) amongst many other gods. Native American Indians are most known for performing “rain dances” in order that crops might grow in times of droughts.

God is the one in control for He’s sovereign, He who holds the universe by the span of His hand (Isaiah 40:12). When man tries to remove God they are essentially looking to remove life itself, God is the source of all life He is the beginning and the end.

Matthew 5:45 “That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.”

Many people in the world believe in a false “mother nature”, the Bible never speaks of any such thing as if God has a “wife” the very idea is blasphemous. The Catholic’s have exalted or in their terminology “venerated” Mary as the “queen of heaven”, complete rubbish coming about from false doctrine of the Vatican.

Another lie that’s been spouted is the concept of a Greek goddess called Gaia. In these times we see how Satan has been trying to reverse the roles of headship which God established. Man (male) in the leadership role and woman (female) in the help role, it all goes back to the beginning in the garden when Eve took the role of making a crucial decision without consulting her husband Adam. All of this makes me think of how Paul the apostle came across these worldviews in Athens amidst false gods/idols calling the people superstitious (Acts 17:15 – 17:34).

Genesis 3:9–13 “And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat? And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat. And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.”

Atheism, Agnosticism and Scepticism

An atheist rejects the belief in God, they believe there is no God. Atheist are quick to say we don’t believe in anything but that’s just not so. It would be impossible to reject without belief because in order to reject you must believe in the opposite. There’s really no such thing as atheism what atheism really is is someone who doesn’t know there’s a God. The reason why I say that is for anyone to make an absolute statement is to say that you have complete knowledge.

“Atheism is not an affirmative belief that there is no god nor does it answer any other question about what a person believes. It is simply a rejection of the assertion that there are gods. Atheism is too often defined incorrectly as a belief system. To be clear: Atheism is not a disbelief in gods or a denial of gods; it is a lack of belief in gods.” - atheists.org

Therefore if a person says “there is no God” they are saying I know for absolute certainty no God exists. It’s like walking into a 200-acre field and saying there’s not one ant in this field. That would be an absolute statement, in saying this all atheist are in reality are agnostics with a strong will to reject God, as agnostics are those who simply say I just don’t know if there’s a God.

Psalms 14:1 “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.”

Scepticism also known as Pyrrhonism or Pyrrhonic Skepticism after the early proponent Pyrrho of Elis is the philosophical position that one should refrain from making truth claims, and avoid the postulation of final truths. This is not necessarily quite the same as claiming that truth is impossible (which would itself be a truth claim), but is often also used to cover the position that there is no such thing as certainty in human knowledge (sometimes referred to as Academic Skepticism).

Would a sceptic agree that we can know if a person jumps out of a plane without a parachute they will plummet to their death? Is it true that if you place your hand in a fire it would get burned? Is it true that if we don’t eat/drink water we would die? The very idea that one cannot know anything for certain is absolutely false.

Many of these people who are lost in these worldviews need to know God’s grace. The word of God says that they’re blinded by satan (2 Corinthians 4:4) they are caught up in the things of this world not realising they’re on the broad way and desperately need to find the narrow way (Matthew 7:13 – 7:14). Let’s continue sharing the gospel in hopes they will come to know God’s love and willingness to save guilty sinners.

Christians in Today’s Culture: Introduction

Christians in Today's Culture 1

Ephesians 5:8 “For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:”

Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. The scripture above is speaking to believers, we all at one point walked in darkness, we all were in the kingdom of darkness. And God in His loving kindness pulled us out of death and into newness of life and made us children of light that we may follow the Lord Jesus. I used to be a child of darkness and was shown amazing love from God and I want others to experience His love which knows no bounds.

Christians don’t think of themselves better than anyone else, because we too were once on the broad path to destruction and by God’s grace have found the narrow way to life. Our hope is that many more will also find the narrow way which leads to life but there are few that find it the Bible says.

Matthew 7:13–14 “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”

The world hasn’t changed much since the days of Noah, Abraham, Moses and Jesus. General society believes they’re better off than people 2000+ years ago, but it’s not so. Society’s notion of “better off” is an advancement of science, technology or financial wealth, the reality is nothing changed, “there is no thing new under the sun” as the writer of Ecclesiastes notes. What people really need is to know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour!

Ecclesiastes 1:9 “The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.”

God’s word is faithful and true since the beginning of the fall of man in the garden man has lived in rebellion against the Almighty God, in the Bible, we read how the nation of Israel continuously went against God’s purpose. Being freed from 400 yrs of hard bondage to the Egyptians with a mighty hand. He helped them cross the red sea by parting it down the middle, rained down manna from heaven to feed them, gave them water to drink from a rock, helped them across the wilderness to a land flowing with milk and honey and yet they still murmured against God.

We as God’s creation still haven’t learned, many still live in disobedience against the creator today. In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth, the seas and beast and creeping things of the earth He created everything with order and purpose, God then created man (Adam) to have dominion over the earth.

Genesis 1:26–28 “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.”

Christians Confronted with False Doctrine

Christians in Today's Culture 2Adam was then given the responsibility of keeping the garden and naming all the animals in Eden, therefore fulfilling his role (headship). He was given the position and authority by God, one of leadership, in the creatorial law of God man (male) is given authority over the woman (female), of course, culture says otherwise, just as the serpent beguiled Eve (Genesis 3:13, 2 Corinthians 11:3).

Signs on public transportation spreading false doctrine (right pic) claiming Eve named the animals in the garden? Nowhere in the Bible does it say this happened. Clearly, this is a deviation from God’s word, organizations such as MTA (Mass Transit Authority) and the Poetry Society of America (poetry in motion) should be ashamed for beguiling individuals who aren’t familiar with God’s word, Eve did not name the animals in the garden.

Genesis 2:15–25 “And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof. And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him. And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.”

Biblical Christian Life in Today’s Culture
Living in today’s society that’s far removed from God and how He instructs us to live is challenging for Christians who fully believe and follow how we’re to live as believers. In this world of Postmodernism, there’s no doubt your Christian views will be resisted because people feel they don’t need or want God. They have preconceived notions that they are good people and that’s all that matters.

When I hear a person say they’re a “good person” and therefore are ok, or God will recognize them for their good deeds it makes me shutter. They haven’t been reading their Bibles, God says there’s none good no not one, that includes myself also. Therefore we place our faith alone in Jesus the Son of God, not on ourselves.

Romans 3:18–20 “There is no fear of God before their eyes. Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.”

Christianity in a Feminist Culture
As mentioned previously God created man and woman in a specific order. Adam was created first then, Eve. Man was not created for woman but woman was created for man to be a help meet, the rise of feminism wants to destroy that order, feminist claim there cause is one of equality; but they misunderstand that God already made them equal. The only difference is men and women are different genetically, but in terms of the world, itself man is to blame not God. I realize many won’t believe in this order, many have said “this line of thinking is barbaric”, really who makes that decision society or God? The reason why the world is going the way it is is because men again choose to deviate from God’s word.

Genesis 2:21-22 “And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.”

Christians in Today's Culture 3

I can only speak to true Christian men, we don’t consider women to be any less than man, women were made to complement men, we men need woman just as much as they need us. Unfortunately, society grants women a platform to usurp authority over man, and supports it and therein lies the problem. Lucifer the anointed cherub who was God’s most perfect creation and given a high position in the kingdom of heaven became proud and wanted to overthrow God. He wanted to disturb the order God created in heaven and on earth.

Ezekiel 28:13–15 “Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.”

Isaiah 14:12-11 “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.”

That’s exactly what happened in the garden of Eden, Eve took it upon herself not to consult her husband when the serpent tricked her into taking the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Satan went to the woman first and attacked the order God put in place when He distinguished the roles between male and female. Adam was not off the hook in any way, in fact, he was more to blame because it was his responsibility to take the lead and hearken unto the warning God gave him.

Genesis 2:17 “But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”

Christianity in an Immodest Culture
We live in a sexually immodest world, we’re constantly bombarded with images of sexually explicit movies/tv shows, and music which glorifies treating others as sex objects. It’s no wonder people are exposing themselves more and more.

Christians in Today's Culture 4

Now it’s “cool” for young girls to wear shorts which look like underwear, they are exposing so much of themselves there’s not much distinction between them and a streetwalker or harlot.

People are screaming for attention, wanting to be the life of the party but modesty will always be the best policy. It’s what’s inside an individuals heart that matters and what’s in your heart is what will manifest on the outside in how you dress, walk, talk and conduct yourself. When we dress raunchy or speak cursings that’s a reflection of what’s in our heart. Showing way too much flesh is a sure way of placing themselves in immediate danger walking the streets as such. But they’re also in danger of God’s wrath to perish for all eternity.

Luke 6:45 “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.”

Conducting oneself in an immoral way will only attract ungodliness and the wrong kinds of people in our lives. It’s not difficult to understand that displaying yourself in public in an immodest way will only bring hardship. It may sound old fashion, but if you ever plan on getting married you’ll want to remain pure. Young people typically care only about looks but Christians know “looks” only last for so long, eventually by God’s grace you’ll grow old and won’t look how you did in your 20’s.

Christianity in a Relative Culture
Another problem which has infiltrated and permeated society as a whole is relativism “perception”. Relativism is the philosophical position that all points of view are equally valid and that all truth is relative to the individual. This means that all moral positions, all religious systems, all art forms, all political movements, etc., are truths that are relative to the individual.

Christians in Today's Culture 5

Relativism is a self-refuting belief system. The absolute statement of all moral positions, all religious systems, all art forms, all political movements are correct is false. If I say the opposite am I wrong, if all is true isn’t mine belief true as well? The truth in relativism lies in the individuals “perception”. So if my “perception” is that it’s ok to commit robbery and because all beliefs are true according to the individual, then no one can say I’m wrong. But we know that it is wrong to do such things why? Because there’s right and wrong, there cannot be two truths, 2+2 doesn’t equal 150 right?

Moral absolute truths must come from a higher absolute source and that source is God, not man. A murderer can then claim he’s justified in committing horrible acts when relativism is involved, but if we have absolute truths we know murder is wrong. And the reason why we know it’s wrong is because God wrote His law upon our hearts.

Romans 2:14-15 “For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)”

Christianity in a Gender Fluid Culture
We know society has lost it when people are confused as to what gender they are. You’re what God determined you to be that’s either male or female there are no other options and you don’t get to choose, the decision was made for you in the womb (Jeremiah 1:5).

Christians in Today's Culture 6

Schools are now asking little children to “choose” their gender? How wrong this is?! These poor children are growing up confused and horrified parents are now dealing with laws which grant children the legal rights over their parents to have irreversible sex change operations? Christians cannot just sit back and be alright with this? The people responsible for passing these sinful laws will stand before God one day for offending these children, I pray that they will repent before then.

Matthew 18:6 “But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.”

Christianity in an Abortion Supportive Culture
There have been countless debates on the issue of abortion. The founder of Planned Parenthood Margaret Sanger:

“The most merciful thing that a family does to one of its infant members is to kill it.” - Margaret Sanger (founder of pp)

Who determines the value of human life, society? The general consensus among abortionist is the unborn aren’t “human”, how do they come to this conclusion? What determines the value of the unborn, is its size, level of development, environment or degree of dependency?

Size cannot determine the value of life because if that were true then would killing a 2-year-old due to being smaller than an adult be justifiable, can we just go around knocking people off who are smaller than us? No of course not!

What about the level of development does it determine human value? Then what do we do with the mentally challenged? Do we exterminate them as well are they of any “less value” because of their mental capacity, are they less human? Of course not!

How about the environment? Does the location (in this case a mother’s womb) determine human value, is the unborn baby more valued because of its location? Do we now say when a baby is in the womb it’s of less value but the moment the baby is out of the womb it’s of more value? How about the poor, are poor people of less value because of where they live? If location determines value then are you any less or more important when you left your home? Of course not that’s silly to even say!

Is dependency the deciding factor? Are unborn babies of any less value because they are dependent on the mother? What about someone who was in a car crash or had a condition which required them to depend on a family member for medicine or special care, are they too of less value and should be killed? All of these arguments fail because they focus on the individual’s ability to provide. Christians know why killing anyone, unborn or born is wrong, that’s because we all bear the image of God (Genesis 1:26), we are created in God’s image and therefore we are all of value.

Final Thoughts
These are some of the many issues we face as Christians living in day and age we live. Nothing has changed all of the prophets, apostles and Jesus Himself faced similar challenges in their time also. They dealt with paganism, immoral practices, mysticism, false religions, divisions within the assemblies and many other things. We cannot think we won’t face these also if we are truly living for Jesus we shall suffer persecution, we shall be hated among the nations, all of this is spoken of in God’s word and to think otherwise would be calling God a liar. God forbid!

2 Timothy 3:12 “Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.”

Let’s not be afraid but, encourage one another in the faith, love and live according to the will of God that He may get all the glory. The Lord Jesus Christ be with thy spirit. Grace be with you. Amen.

Trust in the Lord

Proverbs 3:5-6
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

During times in our Christian walk, our trust in the Lord may be tested. He tests our faith in Him and there is always a purpose in the testing: to strengthen us, grow us, refine us, sanctify us, and make us more like Him.

Romans 5:1-6
“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.”

1 Peter 1:3-9
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see himnot, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

Perhaps when we go through a difficult season we do not fully see the purpose behind the difficulty we experience. But there’s absolutely no difficulty in the life of a child of God that isn’t for his or her good and for God’s purposes.

Romans 8:28
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

He promises that all things work together for the good of those who love God! Thankfully, it doesn’t say that only some things work together for the good to them that love God, but all things! How incredible is this divine truth, that as His children, we can be rest assured that no trouble we face in this world is outside the hand of God or outside His good purpose for us. Our Lord knew that if it said in His Word in Romans 8 that only some things work together for good to them that love God, then it would be easier for us to doubt difficult circumstances we walk through, and our faith in God would dwindle during these hard seasons because we wouldn’t have a solid rock to cleave to. But praise be to God, Christ is our Solid Rock amidst any storm a believer must face in this dark world. He knows every difficulty, and He will walk us through every difficult storm. He calms every storm.

Mark 4:39
And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

If it wasn’t for God and His amazing promises to work all things out for our good, we would drift about with every wind, unsure if our lives are truly in the hands of the God who saved us and gave Himself for us. We would wonder if our lives, our safety, our growth, our happiness is all dependent on whatever happens to us at random whim – that our lives could be destroyed and in the hands of the darkness, wickedness and uncertainty of this world. In other words, that our lives are really in the hands of the god of this world, the devil. This is not so! He promises that every single little thing will indeed work together for good to them that love God! Praise be to God.

What an incredible, beautiful God, abundant in love and faithfulness.

There is a false idea amongst unbelievers who deny God (and even some professed Christian sects) –  that our lives as Christians are not completely in the hands of God. This, at the very root, is an antichrist belief system and has no place in the heart of any true believer – this thought that the ‘universe’ guides our life, attributing sovereignty to created things. This new age spirituality is anti-biblical and rips attributing power and glory to the Creator of all things. God is the one who is in control and in His child’s life, nothing is happenstance. This gives us so much comfort in this world and propels us to be fearless servants of the Most High God. It frees us to serve him willingly, lovingly, freely, and relentlessly, knowing that He loves us, is with us, desires the very best for us, knows what we need and will provide it, and who is watching over us and protecting us. This understanding calms our hearts knowing that if anything bad does happen to us, He’s still protecting us.

It’s imperative to understand that if you belong to God, there is nothing in this world that can destroy you because you are a child of God and your soul is safe with Him. However, if you are an unbeliever and do not belong to Him, your life is at the hands of this dark world.

Matthew 10:28
“And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”

This truth gives us the strength to have peace and joy when circumstances seem grim, because it is the Almighty God who is caring for us and we’re no longer under the dominion of the evil one, but we are now children of God. And as a good Father, He will care for us all of our days.

Romans 8:15
For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

We might go through seasons of difficulty on this earth, and we may be tested, but we will never lose the ultimate treasure – eternal life in God’s presence forever once we are done in this earth. Not a single thing can take us away from the safety of His hands.

John 10:28
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

He wants us to trust Him more fully day by day as we walk with Him and grow in Him, and sometimes He will allow us to go through difficulties so that He will show Himself faithful through it and thus we trust Him all the more.

Lamentations 3:22-25
“It is of the Lord‘s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.”

So trust God knowing that if you belong to Him and have trusted in Christ the Son of God for salvation, saving you from your sins and giving you eternal life, He will care for you all of your days as you navigate life in this temporary world.

Matthew 10:29
“Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.”

If He’s given you salvation only available through the death of His son, won’t He not give you everything else?!

Romans 8:32
“He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?”

One of the astounding beauties of God is that He knows every need and concern we have, and He cares, and He will provide according to the riches of His kindness and His endless wisdom. He will work everything out for our good, that’s His promise.

Philippians 4
“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

I am so blessed to be given such a treasured gift from God – a faithful godly man who trusts God and loves God, and is a fearless servant of the Lord Jesus Christ. This man trusts His Lord through every season, loves Him so passionately and is obedient to Him above all else and in every circumstance that arises. He encourages me everyday in his godliness and Christlikeness and I look up to him more than anyone on this earth. He exudes Christ more than anyone I have ever met. He is a true spiritual leader and so Christlike in all of his ways. God has blessed me abundantly to overflowing, my cup runneth over (Psalm 23:5)!

Why aren’t more Christians sharing the Gospel?

sharing the gospel-3

Ephesians 2:2 “Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:”

Not long ago NYC celebrated it’s 48th pride parade June 23–25, a sad sight to behold. Droves of men and women flocked to the city to be loud, immoral and dance the day away. People from all walks of life lost in darkness blinded by their sin.

Strolling around this city the first few days back from living overseas I was shocked, to say the least. Being fully aware the Supreme Court of the United States ruled in favour of same-sex marriage was one thing but it’s still shocking to see the downward spiral of man. As pride flags hung on the front door of some churches and people making comments saying God condones same-sex marriage is far from the truth. God never condones sin!

Feeling the sorrow inside for these people who are enemies of God. God calls sodomy an abomination, it’s a sin against His creation. Same-sex relationships are just as wrong as lying, fornication, murder, violence, blasphemy etc. Little do they realize they are on the broad road to eternal destruction (hell).

Romans 1:26–28 “For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in [their] knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;”

Society is quick to call a person who speaks out against sin a “judgemental” or “hateful”. The devil has used “political correctness” to keep believers of Christ quiet. As Christians, we’re not hating anyone we’re warning you of the consequences you’ll face for going against God. We love all people and because we love we warn them out of love for them.

My brothers and sisters, I know sharing the Gospel with the lost can be uncomfortable, you don’t want to be hated or scoffed at. But you have to ask yourself this question when you face God and he asks you why didn’t you share the Gospel what will you say? We must speak out against all sin and share the good news how that Christ died for us opening the door of salvation to anyone who believes.

Mark 16:15 “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”

That’s a commandment from the Lord Jesus Christ, it’s not an option. I’m not saying you have to be an open air preacher, but you should be sharing the Gospel one way or the other. Whether that’s through one on one, or passing out tracks, social media, writing blogs, anything that gets the Gospel message out.

Romans 10:15 “And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!”

As encouragement start speaking out, maybe gather some fellow friends who are believers and share God’s love with people, they need to know God offers them eternal life. Speak the truth in love. God bless.

Appreciate the Creator

We grow up with food as our source of sustenance that keeps us alive. Because we essentially “eat” from our mother’s womb, food is just…well, food. That delicious stuff we put in our mouths, that stuff that keeps us alive, and it’s just there. From a “big bang” billions of trillions of billions of ions ago, with no cause, no intelligent Creator who created food to nourish us creatures. This beautiful food that’s keeping us alive is just here by accident, right??

No, not by accident, but by design.

We never really acquire a wonder and awe for something that is such a part of our lives and something we’re surrounded with every single day. It just is. Nothing special – it just is.

That is, until we come to know our Creator through His saving grace. The natural world around us then goes from purposeless to purposeful.

When we’re saved and begin a true, real, living relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, we’re reset as humans and we are made completely new creations. Because of this, we see the world as entirely different than before. We come to truly appreciate the beauty in creation.

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
2 Corinthians 5:17

What was once just bland everyday existence becomes the most colourful, vibrant life. We once looked at the natural world as not special because we didn’t know the Creator. Loving and being loved by the God who made food (amongst other things) opens our eyes to the beauty of it. Only when we truly appreciate God can we then truly appreciate food. We won’t truly appreciate anything until we truly appreciate God.

IMG-6057

Food is so beautiful, and that’s because it’s the creation of a beautiful Creator who  loves us. He nourishes us and cares for us abundantly. He didn’t have to bless us with colours, tastes, and nutrition that heals us and keeps us thriving, but He did.

And it says so much about Him. He’s loving, full of grace, tender, caring, creative, providing, and oh so beautiful beyond our ability to fathom or comprehend.

Look at creation around you and appreciate the Creator – the Lord Jesus Christ by whom all things were made. Existence and life is emptiness and death without Him.

“In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.”
Colossians 1:14-17

Look at creation differently, and come to appreciate the Creator of all of this beauty. It is in no way by accident, it is all in existence by the Word of His mouth, that is the Lord Jesus Christ, the Creator of Heaven and Earth.

John 8:58 (Scripture Illustration)

Sharing the progress I’m making on the John 8:58 drawing I’ve been working on. After I complete the pencils and the ink work I’ll most likely copy this over into Illustrator in order to further develop this with the hopes of making it available for anyone who would like to have one for themselves.

John 8:58

The Person of Christ: His Underived Eternal Sonship
The words of the Lord in John chapter 8:58 could not be clearer: “Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.” Note that it proves conclusively that our Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son. Repeatedly in this chapter He has been speaking of God as “My Father.” Now this climactic statement of the chapter shows that this is eternally so. If there was a time when He came into being, He would have said, “Before Abraham was, I was.” The verbs translated “was” and “am” are not the same, and they show that the meaning of the statement is “Before Abraham came to be, I exist.” His use of “I am,” which would make the statement ungrammatical under normal usage, shows that He never came into being. Moreover, His use of “I am” immediately reminds us that this is what God called Himself when speaking to Moses at the burning bush (Exo 3:14). It is highly expressive of His eternity and His deity. – McAllister, David T&T

Exodus 3:13-14 “And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them? And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.”

The always existing Son of God will forever be seated in glory, and one day soon all believers in Christ will worship Him in heaven. What a glorious day that will be!

THE CHRISTIAN HOUSEHOLD

THE CHRISTIAN HOUSEHOLD 2

This past Lord’s day while at assembly I came across a rare but wonderful read, it, unfortunately, came into my hands by the way of a saint who recently went to sleep but will meet the Lord on that day when the trump sounds (1 Thessalonians 4:16).

This small book published and distributed by Tom Westwood is packed with Biblical wisdom on the Christian Household (family). The book dates back (from what I can see) to at least the 1970’s possibly even further.

Table of Contents

  • Four Marks of a Christian Home
  • Christian Etiquette
  • The Family Personality
  • The Husband
  • The Wife
  • The Children
  • The Father
  • The Mother

Mr Westwood speaks about the importance of a Christ centred family, how by reading the holy scriptures we can learn essential Christian family virtues and how to adopt these practices into our homes.

THE CHRISTIAN HOUSEHOLD

Topics range from what marks a Christian home and then digs deeper into the family itself husband, wife, children, etiquette etc.

What I enjoyed about this book is that as the thoughts are presented expounded upon the main source and facts are always pointed back to the scriptures so that we can look further into God’s word and derive how we can make sure we are living a life in which the Lord is the focus. Pleasing the Lord in all things pertaining to our families and how we welcome visitors into our dwellings, keeping the Lord’s name a “household name” and keeping Him in our worship.

THE CHRISTIAN HOUSEHOLD 3

I would highly recommend this book to any serious Christian, plenty of knowledge here for the married or single in an easily digestible way.

It’s going to be hard coming across this book. Being that this is a rare book it’s highly unlikely you’ll find it in a Barnes and Noble, maybe try finding it in a rare books store or online.

Thanks for reading Brethren, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
